Dyeing textile goods in rope form - enables dyeing of longer batches with minimum increase in floor space

An installation for dyeing textile goods in endless rope form consists three communicating dye reservoirs nozzles connecting tubes and guide rollers. The goods are fed to the first nozzle in a specific direction. The flow of the dye liquor under pressure through the nozzle carries the matl. through a guide tube, through a curved section and out into the dye reservoir through the funnel shaped end piece. The material passes through the dye reservoir at a relatively low speed so that it remains in it for about 3 mins. At the end of the first dye reservoir the material passes around a roller and upwards to a nozzle from where it is transported further by the action of the nozzle and arrives in the second dye reservoir where it again dwells for about 3 mins. The goods are then passed again around the roller to a nozzle and thence into the third dye reservoir. From the delivery end of the third dye reservoir the material passes via guide rollers back to the entry of the first nozzle. The guide tubes are inclined downwards in the direction of the material flow and at the inlet end the extension of their longitudinal axis touches the periphery of the guide roller. Substantially longer batches of textile goods in rope from can be dyed without greatly increasing the space occupied by the plant.
