Bottom row wall tile laying alignment batten - with edge flange applicable above finished floor, and groove above unfinished floor

Universally adaptable alignment batten, for laying and applying the bottom row of wall tiles or panels, can be assembled from individual lenghts. On one bottom longitudinal edge there is a flange (7) for setting the panels (6) when the floor level is finished and on the opposite side there is a groove (10) sited higher than the flange, to accommodate the panels in the event of the floor level not being finished. In the upper side (2) there is a longitudinal groove for insertion of a connecting-piece, which may itself be a piece of alignment batten with its flange inserted in the groove, which is pref. depper than the width of the flange. The batten may be an extruded hollow plastic shaped-section. This can be used under any circumstances, including application at inside and outside corners.
