Small machine for soldering microcircuits on boards - where soldering head can be aligned with the rows of microcircuits

Device for the soldering of a row of conductors on a board, comprises a cabinet with a table on which the board is placed, and a soldering-head mounted on a slide driven along a guide in the cabinet. The novelty is that a carrier arm connects the slide to the soldering-head, and the arm can move parallel to the table and at 90 degrees to the direction of travel of the slide; on the end of the arm is spring-loaded holder for the soldering head with a catch (I) in the form of a curved disc which operates a switch actuating a second catch(II) locking the arm on the slide. Catch(II) pref. consists of an electromagnet with an armature which rests on the ratchet locking the arm. A template is pref. mounted on the arm. For example, soldering integrated circuits onto a board for radio appts. A simple, small device with low wt. and reliable operation.
