Hospital bed with bath and toilet facilities - using air pad divided into inflatable and deflatable compartments

A lifting pad (5) is provided between the mattress spring (2) and the mattress (10) and consists f two inflatable and deflatable air chambers one of which has an outlet (9) at the bottom to empty out the bath water or toilet contents, both chambers together form the bath tub and can also be used to lift up or lower the patient. A bath plate (8) with outlet (9a) simplifies cleansing and manipulation of the bath tub formed by the air cushion (5). When the cushion (5) is deflated in order to remove the mattress (10) the patient is supported on a canvas cloth (11) held by clamps (12). Compressed-and hot-air lines and water lines are provided as is drainage for the removal of faces into the toilet bowl (3).
