Light-impervious photographic paper carrier for use in instant picture cameras, consists of a photographic base paper coated with Al foil, preferably soft annealed and thickness ca. 14 mu and bonded to the paper by a thermoplastic resin layer. Solves the difficulty of providing an opaque backing or protective paper without damage to the smoothness of the paper arising from the number of treatments with aqueous pigment (carbon black) suspensions required.
