The building-block e.g. for garden walls, can be easily joined to similar blocks without any pointing-up work being involved in the masonry, and leaving no joint gaps which could be penetrated by moisture and subsequently damages by frost. For this purpose, the connecting surfaces (3, 5, 6, 7) of the building block (1) are provided with continuous groove-shaped depressions (8, 9) for the accommodation of sealing media. These depressions are pref. in pairs, running round the whole periphery, with one always provided in the vicinity of a facing surface. At least one facing surface (2) may be chamfered (10) and may have a surfacing of washed concrete or similar decorative finish. There may be perforating cutouts (14, 15) in the block which may be of concrete.
|
