Quasi-synchronisation in sound film technology - shows foreign language films without dubbing or subtitles

Quasi-synchronisation for sound film technology is carried out by recording spoken text portions and/or partial dialogues which explain the action on an additional sound tape which runs synchronously with the film and which is played back together with the original sound track. When replaying recordings from the additional sound tape, the original sound is cut out or at least reduced in vol., pref. by masking the sound track by electronic control apparatus in the places where the additional tape provides acoustic information.
