<p>A trolley which can lift a vehicle for inspection, maintenance or repair has a lower frame with wheels at each end, with a spindle across one end acting as a pivot for an arm each side which can be swung up from the horizontal, collapsed position. The arms support a cradle approximately the length of the lower frame, the cradle having a pair of support plates each end to engage the underside of the vehicle. At the point of attachment of the cradle to the swinging arms a prop is attached to hold the cradle up. A short plate mounted to one side of this attachment plate, with a set of holes through it for a locking pin, can be used to adjust the angle of the cradle. A lifting device is fitted between the lower frame and the swinging arms. A return spring can also be fitted.</p> |
