The steering column switch, for vehicles, is located between the dashboard and steering wheel, and has its auxiliary devices (10-12) such as relays and indicator lamps (14, 15) located inside the switch housing (3) to form one unit. The housing is constructed from two separate clip-on sub-parts (4, 9) and has holders for fuses (17) and a socket (16) to allow the operation of all the components inside the housing to be tested. Part of the housing may be integrated into the dashboard. The advantage of using a two-part housing and grouping all components in this way lies in making the whole assembly easier to maintain.
