A hand grip for use with domestic containers, partic. cooking pots, which engages with an attachment bracket fixed to the exterior of the port and which has two protruding side arms onto which the grip engages, having an elastic device which operates in conjunction with the hand grip, has the elastic device constructed of at least two elastically deformable tongues (13) which are attached at one end (22) to the grip body (9) and extending at their free ends (23) to the region of the grip (9) which supports the pot (1). Each free end (23) has an engagement device to accommodate the attachment (2) on the outer surface of the pot or vessel (1).
