<p>The wall for a prefabricated house incorporates a load bearing unit, and an external facing formed by a number of thinly finish-coated adjoining facing panels with expansion joints, attached to a load bearing unit at the centre, and held in pairs at the edges by the flanges of shaped-section battens connected to this unit. The shaped batten (3) is fitted with a flange (5) passing through from one panel edge (2) to the other, with its thickness, protruding above the panel surface, less than that of the decorative finish (a), which is drawn smoothly across panels and flanges with a surface structuring running parallel to the shaped batten. The finish may be elastic. An optically closed surface is provided, with no interrupting expansion joints in sight.</p> |
