<p>The harvester has a chassis (1) with motor (2) and wheels (3, 4) on which is a container (5) for the flowers. On the front of the container (5) is the harvester and collector consisting of a rotor (6), collector-platform (7), conveyor-elevator (8) and impulse-ventilator (9), all driven by means of transmission belts (10a, 10b, 10c). The rotor (6) contains a shaft (12) crosswise to the direction of travel, on the ends of which are plates (13) to one of which is fixed to a belt pulley (14). Both plates (13) have bearings in which are mounted the ends of bars (15) each of which has a row of tines (16) on it, to form a comb. A chain-wheel is fixed to the end of each bar (15), and round it runs a continuous chain (18) operated by a drive-pinion fixed to an axle supporting a cog-wheel.</p> |
