The acceleration and braking control circuit, for an asynchronous motor, has the motor controlled by varying the magnetic saturation of 10 inductors in series with 10 power diodes. Each inductor is in series with one diode, and each resulting combination is grouped with another to form a head-to-tail antiparallel pair. Four of these pairs are connected into the arms of a Wheatstone bridge which is as in 7504760. The control windings for the inductors each have two opposite senses either of which can be shunted out by a relay according to the direction of rotation required. Accurate control of motor speed is maintained. |
