A water storage device is used in which water is fed from an input container to an equalising container by means of a connector pipe line. This connector pipe line is fitted with a U-form section incorporated with its head section, and it has the inlet and outlet ends of the connector pipe lower than the top of the inverted U-section. The end of the connector pipe (7) which is situated within the inflow or feed container (4) is mounted at a higher level or position than the end of the pipe (7) which is situated within the equalising container (6).
