<p>1344815 Oral compositions MONSANTO CO 10 Nov 1972 [12 Nov 1971] 51977/72 Heading A5B Oral compositions for dental calculus retardation comprise a dental calculus-inhibiting amount of a polyamine polyphosphonate of the formula:- wnerein n is an integer from 1 to 10, or a pharamaceutically acceptable water-soluble salt thereof, a carrier suitable for use in the oral cavity, and a flavouring agent, the pH of the composition being within the range from 5.0 to 11.0. The salt may be a sodium, potassium, ammonium, monodi- or tri-ethanolammonium salt. The compositions may be in the form of a dentifrice, mouthwash, prophylactic paste, toothpaste or topical solution which may also contain conventional abrasive materials sudsing agents, binders, humecants, flavouring and/or sweetening agents.</p> |
