<p>Tubular sleeve of some plastic material which provides an overall sheath, sealing and protecting electrical wires, possible telephone lines. The outer plastic shell is in two halves tapering from a parallel section at its centre down to a dia. which matches that of the plastic sheath of the cable it is intended to enclose. The overall shape may be oval to accommodate the requirement of the cable type, the cable or cables having individual plastic sheaths, pref. of polyvinyl-chloride, which have side extensions which fit between the mating edges of the two outer sleeve halves. The whole is welded/soldered together using ultrasonics.</p> |
