Screwed connection for smooth tubes - with internal rings inside threaded sleeve and tightened by outer union

A screwed connection for smooth or hard tubes consists of a threaded sleeve and union with a pressure ring between then inside an extension of the sleeve. The sleeve fits round the end of the tube and the end of the latter lies against a flat shoulder in the sleeve; a sealing ring and a pressure ring are pushed together in the radially extended part of the threaded sleeve on the tube. The pressure ring is pressed against a shoulder in the sleeve and the sealing ring is so pressed into the sleeve by screwing up the union that the sealing ring is forced into the tube and forms a groove in it. The connection can be sunscrewed, otherwise it produces a tight joint even on a rough tube or if repeatedly unscrewed. The method is partic, suitable for thin tubes.
