<p>An arc chamber of a contact-breaker has a double arc blow-out. The chamber has a fixed contact (14) and a moving contact (4). A duct (9) between the surfaces (40, 41) of two insulating parts (10, 6) dircts compressed gas toward the end (7). After separation of the contacts (14, 4) and formation of an arc, the gas at the end (7) of the duct (9) is divided into two streams. One stream flows throught the middle of the hollow moving contact (4) and into a tube (5). The other stream flows into the middle of the hollow fixed contact (4) and into another tube (15). Some gas may escape along another duct (17). The compressed gas is provided by the displacement of a piston (1) whn the contact (4) moves.</p> |
