<p>The rotary switch, for transformers, has three groups of fixed contacts connected one to each of the three windings of the primary. The three moving contacts are guided by a ratchet arrangement and each comes into contact with one fixed contact in a different group. The three moving contacts are constructed from a single piece, which has three tongues that act as springs in two orthogonal directions: the first direction is from moving contact to fixed contact and the second direction is at right angles to the first. The support for the fixed contacts is at right angles to the switch axis.</p> |
