<p>Sachet incorporating the active reagents of a self curing mixt. is packed by partially filling a flexible thermoplastic tube with the major precursor of the mixt. while externally creasing the tubing to form an external longitudinal pocket which can be loaded with the minor precursor reagent and sealed by an ancillary cover tube. Method is esp. for pre-packing set quantities of self curing (polyester) mastics in packs to be located in e.g. foundation bolt holes for anchoring fittings into mine walls or ceilings. The incoming thread ruptures the tubing and the outer pocket and mixes the reagents to initiate curing. The sachet may be loaded as continuous tubing, is more robust then conventional glass ampules and avoids on-site mixing before application.</p> |
