Mixed-concrete transport vehicle washing plant - with rapid recovery of aggregate from washings uses screw conveyor washed by fresh water

It is usual to wait 10-12 hours for the solids to settle out of the washings before the recovery of aggregate is undertaken. In the improved washing plant the aggregate is at once washed clean in a screw conveyor, inclined at a suitable angle, and is delivered to a belt conveyor for removal to the storage location. After passing through the screw the washing water is allowed to stand in settlement tanks and clarify. The supernatant clear liquid from the tanks is stored and it is subsequently used to wash further concrete transport vehicles.
