The unit is used for firm fixture of a curtain-hung external wall facing panel, set at a prescribed interval. It comprises one connecting element for the wall and one for the panel, a screw to join these together, and anchoring devices let into the wall or panel, with the connecting elements inserted into them. These anchoring devices are in the form of dovetail guide-rails (6), and the connecting elements are fishplates (7) with a guiding head (8) fitting the rails, and a joining slit (9). The fishplates can be turned through 45 deg. or more, after parallel insertion into the rails. The rails themselves are arranged so as to intersect orthogonally when assembled, and the fishplates fit flat against one another. The rails may be U-sectioned steel plate rails, with guide flanges (10) bent inwards, while the fishplate guide heads have corresponding slits (11).
