<p>The tubular column (1) is a mounting for a refuse bin (4) which is attached to its side and receives waste material such as foodstuffs, cigarettes and other dirty waste. In addition a single chamber closable container (2) is attached to the top of the column to receive discarded newspaper, magazines etc. The container has a pivoting closure flap (3) made of metal or plastic material which is clearly marked on top 'newspapers'. The other bin is marked 'refuse'. The use of such separate waste containers facilitates the re-use of clean, discarded reading material by eg hospitals, old peoples' homes etc.</p> |
