<p>A casement of a window with fitted framed pane has, between the window sash and the frame of the pane, a profile made of elastic, compressible material, pref. a silicone. No putty is required for glazing. The profile has a U-shaped cross-section, one of the legs of the "U" bearing upon the pane stop whilst the cross-bar of the "U" rests upon the window sash. The pane frame has a circumferential flange engaging the U-profile. The leg of the profile bearing upon the pane stop has a thickening which is wedged between pane frame and sash. This thickening may be hollow and of circular cross-section.</p> |
