Servo steering for fork lift truck - with single ram and two racks linked to central steering arm

The seering for the rear wheels of the fork lift truck is controlled by a single, double action hydraulic piston acting on a central steering arm. The arm is pivoted on the chassis and is linked with one end to the ram and with the other end to two steering racks. The racks operate directly on pinions rigidly fixed to the vertical axes of the wheel support forks. The steering is strong and robust and allows fine control with the vehicle under load. Only one servo is required.
