Constructional elements for use in building toys or decorations consist of hollow bodies with apertures in their edges. The wall sections are of constant thickness throughout and have a single slot or multiple series of slots cut into them forming grip claws. A second element can then be pushed into or snapped on to the hollow body to form a rigid connection. Solid component fastenings may also be produced as solid items to give more strength to the connection.
