Refrigerating system for cooling milk esp. an immersed refrigerator, has temperature sensor and milk agitator. The system has an electronic temperature regulator and control system for the milk agitator. The refrigerator is readily maintained and it prevents reliably undercooling of the milk. The temperature sensor is a thermistor sensor (4). The agitator is controlled by an electronic timing device (5). The latter forms integral units with the electronic temperature regulator (6). The temperature is displayed by an electronic device and the temperature regulator switches the refrigerator (2) off in case of failure of a conductor or when the thermistor sensor (4) is short circuited.
