The reclining chair bed comprises a support frame made up of two trapezoidal side members on which a seat bed member is swivel mounted. The seat bed member is in at least three sections, i.e. head, back and lower parts. These three sections are connected together by articulated joints so that they can be set at any angle position. The seat bed member also includes a frame on which padded elements are mounted parallel at even spacing normal to the longitudinal axis of the bed. These padded elements are pref cushioned plastic or wooden strips.
