In the development of light-sensitive Ag halide materials, the dissoln. rate of the AgX and the growth rate of the development nuclei, which are on the surface and inside the AgX crystals in the emulsion, are regulated to grains with certain dimensions and a reflection factor and a distribution corresp. to the distribution of the electromagnetic field in the recording are achieved. Regulation of the dissoln. and growth rates is achieved by developing samples subjected to various exposures in an aq. soln. of 40-60 g/l Na2SO3, 1-15 g/l L-ascorbic acid, 4-8 g/l hydroquinone, 0.1-2 g/l metol, 0.01-0.1 g/l phenidone, 0.01-2 g/l pyrogallol, 0.1-0.5 g/l diethyl-p-phenylenediamine sulphate, 0.1-1.5 g/l amidol, 0.01-1.0 g/l kI, 1.0-5 g/1 KBr, 40-100 g/l Na2S2O3, 10-40 g/l NH4CNS, 30-50 g/l K2CO3 and 0.5-2 g/l AgNO3, using various concns. of the AgX solvent, developer or H ions in the soln., and determining the final compsn. of the developer from the results obtd. Used esp. in holography. Both the surface and internal development nuclei are developed and the size and optical properties of the grains are controlled. Infectious development is eliminated and additional fixing of the developed material is saved. The distribution capacity, signal-to-noise ratio, speed and diffraction effectiveness (DE) (of holograms) are increased.
|
