The shock-resistant hot-drinks maker for aircraft uses the hot water supply and fluid concentrates. A magnetizable valve ram (8) mounted on the base of the storage container closes the volume chamber (6) which measures out the concentrate. The ram is lowered from outside by a mechanically actuated permanent magnet (9) fixed in position by spring pressure beyond its own weight. As the permanent magnet is raised the hot water supply opens and the fresh drink can be made. An expansion hood (3) can be provided to allow for any pressure fluctuations or temperature variations.
