1477248 Dynamo-electric machines KRAFTWERK UNION AG 30 May 1975 [13 March 1975] 23690/75 Heading H2A An electric machine rotor comprises a superconducting winding mounted in slots 2 in a core 1, coolant passages 7, 8 being formed in teeth 6 and in intermediate elements 21, Fig. 4 (not shown), disposed between the conductors in the end windings, the coolant passages extending the entire length of the winding coils and communicating in both peripheral sides with cooling ducts 11 which are arranged in parallel spaced relationship and extend around the winding coils at the slot bottom and in the radial direction. The winding 3 shown is that of a turbogenerator rotor. The coolant enters at one end winding, passes along passages 8, through passages 14 and into ducts 11 in the two adjacent slots, round the conductors, through further passages 14 to passages 7 to an outlet at the other end winding. Ducts 11 are formed in the slot lining insulation 10. The winding is secured in position by slot wedges 4 and a shrunk-on bearing cylinder 5 which extends the entire length of the rotor. |
