1442198 Magnetic treatment of liquids T I S VERMEIREN 16 Nov 1973 [17 Nov 1972] 53412/73 Heading C1C [Also in Division B2] A device for the magnetic treatment of a liquid, to prevent or minimize scale formation and corrosive action, comprises a tube 2, e.g. of rectangular cross-section (Fig. 1, not shown) with an inlet 5 and an outlet 6; a ferromagnetic path constituted, for example, by ferromagnetic walls 2 and flanges 4 of the tube; and a magnetic assembly 8 fixed in the tube, the poles 9 and 10 of the assembly co-operating with the walls 2 to define two separate passages for different portions of the liquid flowing through the tube. The tube may be circular in cross-section, associated with annular magnet assembly arrangements, and such embodiments are described with reference to Figs. 3 to 8 (not shown). |
