发明名称 SAFETY BELT BUCKLES
摘要 1478061 Seat belt buckles A FOHL 19 June 1974 [20 June 1973] 27090/74 Heading E2A A seat belt buckle comprises a housing 1 into which a tongue 11 of a member 7 is inserted, the member 7 being retained therein by engaging rollers 4, 9 and being released by a disengaging mechanism 18. As shown in Fig. 1, 2 the housing 1 is U-sectioned having legs 2, 3 in which are provided slots 8 for guiding roller 9 by means of a pin 10, roller 4 being mounted on the legs by a pin 5. Mechanism 18 is also U-shaped and is pivotably journalled to pin 5 and has slots 21, 21 for mounting with play on pin 10. A flat spring 24 connected at one end to mechanism 18 engages housing 1. To release the buckle, mechanism 18 is moved in the direction of arrow 32, roller 9 rolling on roller 4 and disengaging from tongue recess 15. In an alternative embodiment housing 1 is boxshaped having a recess (36) Fig. 4 (not shown) in its upper edge corresponding to a recess (43) in the tongue the rollers being guided in the recess (36). The disengaging mechanism may have guide rails 61, 62 Fig. 8 (not shown) which engage in grooves (63), (64) of a housing cover for guiding movement of the mechanism. In the construction shown in Fig. 11, dogs 72, 73 are provided on the tongue and are received between edges 74, 75 of the housing 68 for guiding the tongue. Two sets of rollers 79, 80 are held engaged by grooves 81, 82 extending in a wedge shaped manner in the disengaging mechanism 83. Mechanism is held in a position where the buckle is engaged by a spring 85 acting between a projection 87 thereof and a cover of the housing. In a construction similar to Fig. 11 this projection is dispensed with and the disengaging mechanism has cam grooves 92, 93 Fig. 14 (not shown) for guiding cams (94), (95) of a push button (90) supported on the housing and depression of which causes sliding of the disengaging mechanism through the cams and cam grooves to unlatch the buckle. As shown in Fig. 18, the disengaging mechanism 105 may have a web 108 for retaining the grooves 109, 110 of rollers 103, 104 in position in recesses 100, 101 respectively provided in the housing 97 and tongue 98, the rollers being biassed by a spring 112 engaging a plate 111 which closes an aperture 108 in the mechanism 105. The buckle is released by downward pressure on the mechanism 105. In an alternative construction the rollers have bearing pins 115, 116 Fig. 21 (not shown) which snap into jaws upstanding from the box shaped disengaging mechanism. The rollers may be barrel shaped resting against a further roller having a corresponding concave surface, engaging surfaces on the housing and tongue being correspondingly convex and concave. Other constructions have two disengaging mechanisms with wedge shaped surfaces which overlap and operate against each other and bring about disengagement. These mechanisms may be directly or indirectly actuated. Different diameter rollers may be used.
