Beer barrel processing method - has carbon dioxide sucked out of empty barrel and stored for reuse as drive gas (NL 4.7.77)

The CO2 gas introduced into the beer barrel during the tapping process is sucked out of the emptied barrel (1) and is passed into a storage container (6). An excess pressure is then produced inside the storage container and maintained so that the gas may be used directly as the drive gas from the storage container for the tapping of beer. The installation includes a suction pressure pump (2) with a suction pipe (3) connectable to an emptied beer barrel (1), and a pressure pipe (5) connectable to the storage container. The storage container is fitted with a supply pipe attachable through a coupling to a full beer barrel.
