The process involves (a1) local printing of an anti-felting agent or (a2) impregnating or allover printing of an anti-fleting agent and then locally printing with a paste contg. acid, (b) drying and/or curing; and (c) subjecting the fabric to a washing or felting process. Used for the prodn. of creped wool or silk fabrics or mixt. fabrics contg. wool or silk. The simple procedure enables fancy fabrics to be easily prepd. from plain weave fabrics. A wide variety of crepe and cloque effects canbe obtd.
