Process control monitoring data gathering circuit - transfers randomly occurring binary data from several sources to central processor

A circuit for numerically controlled input of binary data gives situation variations in technical processes into data processing units, esp. in automatic railway shunting yard systems. It accommodates randomly occurring binary data from several similar recording units in the system and transfers the data in suitable form to the system central processing unit. A microprocessor is used for controlling the technical process and contains a central unit, a status register and an input-output unit controlled via an address and data bus. Received data is fed via resettable flip-flops to input registers which are cyclically accessed. The data are identified as to origin and compared with the relevant reference data from the status register.
