<p>Indicator for the beginning of labour in domestic animals comprises an elongate cylindrical capsule contg. a transmitter which is switched on via. a temp. sensor, for insetion in the birth canal of the animal, and a receiver which is tuned to the frequency of the transmitter and which acts as signal emitter. Around the capsule is mounted symmetrically a double-cone sheath of elastic material e.g. rubber ro plastic, pref. Neoprene (RTM) of which the flattened narrow ends are adjacent to each other, while the open bases surfaces of the cones are directed towards the ends of the capsule. The wall surfaces of the sheath are pref. perforated, and provided with one or more peripheral beads. T'e capsule cannot be lie obliquely, and is reliably ejected just before the beginning of birth.</p> |
