1409041 Recording device KIENZLE APPARATE GmbH 16 Jan 1974 [24 Jan 1973] 01961/74 Heading G1J An electrographic recorder for use with a tape cartridge comprises a pivotally mounted lid 2 at least a part of which is transparent to allow observation of the recordings, recording electrodes 21, 24, and means operable to fasten the lid in the closed position and at the same time to move the cartridge towards the electrodes into the recording position. The cartridge 12 comprises a feed spool 13, a take-up spool 14 and guides 16, 17 and 18 for the metal paper tape 15. The lid 2 has wall parts 8, 9 defining a pocket in which the cartridge is slideably received. When the lid is moved to the closed position, spring 26 acts first against the lid itself and then against the cartridge. With the lid in the closed position, a locking member 30 is moved downwardly by turning key 28. Member 30 engages a slot 49 in lid 2 to lock the lid in the closed position and at the same time a portion 34 of member 30 pushes cartridge 12 laterally so that a projection 20 locates in a slot 19 of the cartridge. Member 30 also has an arm 35 which, when member 30 moves downwardly, allows a drive bush 39 to engage drive slots 45 in the take-up sppol 14. Drive bush 39 is coupled to a drive-shaft 36 by means of a pin 37 engaging a slot 38. The device includes a fixed electrode 21, and writing electrodes 24 movable laterally by means of a comb 25. The lock 7 may be mounted on the lid 2, or may be replaced by a locking slide where security is not required. |
