<p>In the prepn. of mouldings, coatings, films and adhesives, by reactn. of polyepoxides contg. >1 epoxy gp. per mole with aromatic polyamines at 50-250 degrees C, with opt. interruption(s) of the reactn. by cooling to room temp., the improvement comprises using mono- or binuclear arom. diamines contg. in each aromatic ring a 1-18C alkoxy carbonyl gp. >=primary amino gp., and opt., a CH3 gp. or Cl atom, the aromatic ring being always a benzene ring and, in the case of binuclear diamines, the rings being joined by an opt. alkyl substd. methylene gp. The above diamines give B-stage intermediate prepolymers with excellent storage stability, which give prepngs., pressing compsns., sintering powders for fluidisation, etc. with good stability. The diamines have good processing properties and are physiologically harmless.</p> |
