1482311 Clip H W A BUB 16 June 1975 [20 June 1974] 25647/75 Heading E2B A clip comprises jaws 1, 2 which are connected by a part including a spring loop 4 and a remainder portion 3. The clip may be made from a single integral piece of spring material such as stainless steel or may be made of synthetic plastics material which is extruded and then cut off to required widths. The jaw 2 is provided with prongs 5, 6 and the jaw 1 has a flat clamping surface. When a clip is used to clamp together a board 8, Fig. 3, a glass sheet 9 and a print 10 mounted therebetween, a shoulder 22 engages the board, the prongs 5, 6 dig into the board to resist the removing of the clip in the direction 11 and the flat clamping surface of the jaw 1 engages the glass sheet. In a modification the prongs 5, 6 are omitted and a groove 12, Fig. 4, is provided in the board 8. The clips 15, 16, Fig. 6, can form a frame, being mitre-cut at 20, 21 respectively. |
