<p>Treatment of effluents contg. anthraquinone sulphonic acids (I) comprises converting (I) to their corresp. halo-anthraquinones (II), sepg. (II) and opt., concentrating the mother liquor. The process is applicable to waste water from technical sulphonation of anthraquinone. The effluent is reconverted to useful prods. i.e. conc. H2SO4 and (II), the latter being dispersion dye intermediates (viz. DS 1285646, 1288067 and 16644576).</p> |
