Novel disperse anthraquinone dyes free from sulphonic acid gps. are of formula (I) (where X=Cl or Br; n=0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; Y=O or NH; n=a whole no. at least 3; R=opt. substd. hydrocarbon radical). The dyes can be used as turquoise dyes for aromatic polyesters, also nylon and cellulose ceacetate. (I) may also be used to bulk dye aromtic polyesters and to transfer print synthetic textile materials, opt. under vacuum or under moist conditions. |
