The generator is for use in motor vehicles. It is intended to delay the discharge of the battery and consists of a motor or electrical machine which is provided with generator windings. The generator windings are located in the stator of the machine and their output is connected via a full wave rectifier to the battery. In the motor mode, the battery can be connected via a switch to the brushes supplying the rotor winding. The generator winding is located in the neutral zone. |
