1414570 Arylvinyl cyclopropyl carbinols STERLING DRUG Inc 18 June 1973 [22 June 1972] 33860/74 Divided out of 1414568 Heading C2C The invention comprises arylvinyl cyclopropyl carbinols of the Formula IV where R is hydrogen or lower alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and Ar is phenyl, naphthyl or phenyl substituted by 3, 4 methylene dioxy or from one to three lower alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, lower alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, carbo-lower-alkoxy of 2 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen, trifluoromethyl, trifluoromethoxy, benzyloxy, alkanoylamino of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or dialkylamino (where alkyl has from 1 to 4 carbon atoms) radicals. The compounds of Formula IV and VII may be prepared by reacting a corresponding compound of formula with an alkali metal aluminium hydride or alkali metal borohydride respectively. |
