<p>A film laminate used in packaging applications comprises >=2 co-extruded thermoplastics film adhering together of which one, viz. the carrier lamina, has a higher softening temp. than the other lamina which serves as sealing layer. This latter is so thin that its tensile strength at break is less than the adhesion of the two laminae and also less than the tensile strength at break of the carrier lamina. More cheaply to produce than prior-art varnished packaging films. Can be folded, sealed, opened, re-folded and re-sealed.</p> |
