A diaphragm disc for opposite phase interruption of two spatially separate part beam paths of non-dispersive infrared gas analyzer has one or more diaphragm apertures for each part beam path. The diaphragm apertures are arranged offset in relation to each other, in the radial and circumferential direction of the diaphragm disc. An approximately triangular shaped non-transmitting projection (6) is provided in the proximity of the two ends of the outer boundary line of the diaphragm aperture (2). The sides of the two projections (6) feature a drop-shaped bulge and the two ends of the outer boundary line a strip-shaped bulge.
