The perforated plate connector, flat or esp. U-bent, and made of sheet steel, is used for joining wooden beams or square timbers intersecting, meeting at the ends or butt jointed. A claw, tooth or needle-shaped element (19) is form-locked into one or more flat perforated surfaces (1-5) at one or more points, between adjacent holes (10-17). Its open tip (23) points from inside towards the outside connector sealing surface which is flush with it, whence it can be knocked into the wooden workpiece by a hammer blow above the elements base (20), without thereby becoming detached from the perforated plate. The inserted element is pred. 5-6mm wide, and bent back 4-5mm at the point of impact.
