<p>The bursting disc unit is for installation in pressure vessels, to rupture under excessive pressure. The disc (1) fits inside a flange (3) of the same thickness and coaxial to it, and is held between two other flanges (2, 4), each having an internal dia. smaller, and an external dia. greater, than the disc dia. Each of these latter flanges has an annular coaxial groove in its face bearing against the disc, and in which a sealing ring is accommodated. The three flanges are secured together in the correct sequence by interfitting the parts. The first flange can be integral with one or the other of the other two.</p> |
