The veneered cupboard door for kitchen or living room furniture is provided with at least an upper and lower frieze (3) and a recesses centre part (2) which is connected to the friezes by a spring and groove dowel joint (4). The centre part and the side faces of the friezes connected to same are fitted with a veneer layer (5) prior to assembly so that even the small projections at the friezes can have a securely mounted veneer finishing. It is advisable to process all the four side faces of the friezes and centre part prior to assembly so that there is then no subsequent damage to the protective surface layer which might allow the atmospheric moisture to penetrate into the wood.
