Isocyanates of formula (I) are new (R)3.SiO.R1.NCO (I) (where R is alkyl, alicyclic, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl, all being 11C; R1 is (i) -CH2:CH2-, (ii) - A pref. reagent, 2-(4-trimethylsiloxyphenyl)ethyl isocyanate was prepd. by addition of trimethylchlorosilane to a mixture of tyramine and NEt3 in tetrahydrofuran, then bubbling CO2 through the mixt. - (I) are reagents which permit labelling of cpds. for subsequent assay. e.g. in body fluids. |
